Salary: Up to PKR 120,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience

About the Role

PsychPlus is seeking an Insurance Verification / Prior Authorization Specialist to support patient access for specialty treatment services, including Spravato.

This role is responsible for verifying insurance benefits, reviewing coverage requirements, coordinating prior authorization activities, and communicating with insurance providers and internal teams to support timely treatment access.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in U.S. healthcare insurance verification or prior authorization processes and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification
• Review patient coverage, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements
• Submit and track prior authorization requests
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding authorization status and coverage determinations
• Document verification and authorization activities accurately within company systems
• Communicate with internal teams regarding coverage requirements and authorization outcomes
• Escalate unresolved payer issues when appropriate
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards
• Support patient access and treatment coordination workflows
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and follow-up activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in U.S. healthcare insurance verification, prior authorizations, or a related patient access function
• Strong understanding of insurance eligibility, benefits verification, and authorization processes
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Experience working with EMR, EHR, or healthcare software platforms
• Ability to work onsite in Karachi during night shift hours
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and standard business applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting specialty medications or specialty treatment programs
• Experience with Spravato, behavioral health, psychiatry, or mental health services
• Experience communicating with U.S. insurance carriers and healthcare providers
• Familiarity with CollaborateMD or similar healthcare systems
