Role Summary

The Associate Manager Inventory Management is a key contributor to maintaining operational excellence in the diagnostics division at Martin Dow Specialities, where precision and efficiency are critical. This role focuses on ensuring optimal inventory levels for diagnostic instruments, reagents, and consumables, meeting stringent industry standards and regulatory requirements. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to enable uninterrupted supply to healthcare providers and labs.


Role Responsibilities

* Inventory Planning & Optimisation: Ensure accurate inventory levels for diagnostic equipment, reagents, and consumables to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. Develop inventory strategies to mitigate risks of stock outs or overstock, with a focus on maintaining product quality and compliance. Utilise demand forecasting and consumption trends specific to the diagnostics industry to optimise inventory planning.

* Operations & Process Management: Implement robust inventory control processes, including expiration management and cold-chain compliance for sensitive diagnostic products. Conduct regular cycle counts and ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP). Align inventory operations with ISO standards and other regulatory requirements specific to diagnostics.

* Team Leadership: Provide ongoing training in diagnostics-specific inventory practices, including regulatory and safety requirements. Foster a collaborative environment to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

* Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor inventory performance metrics, such as stock accuracy, inventory turnover, and obsolescence rates. Generate and present detailed reports on inventory health, identifying risks related to shelf life, compliance, and operational efficiency. Leverage data insights to support procurement decisions and reduce waste, particularly for perishable diagnostic products.

* Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with operations and sales teams to ensure the integrity and availability of diagnostic products. Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve lead times and ensure an uninterrupted supply of critical items.


Relevant Experience

3-5 Experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, preferably in the diagnostics, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry.


Education

* BBA (Must Have)

* BS Biotechnology (Must Have)
