Role Summary:
As a Backend Engineer (Backend & DevOps), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and cloud-based infrastructure. The role involves working closely with development operations and product teams to ensure seamless deployment, reliability, and high performance.

You will take ownership of backend architecture, CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and performance optimization of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Implement authentication, authorization (JWT/OAuth), and security best practices.
• Ensure code quality, testing, and maintainability.

DevOps & Infrastructure (Core Requirement)

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and containerized environments.
• Work with Linux-based production servers.
• Configure and manage web servers (Nginx, Apache).
• Automate deployments and server configurations.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and uptime.
• Handle production issues and root cause analysis.

Cloud & Scalability

• Deploy and manage infrastructure on AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Manage services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, App Services, etc.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Ensure scalability, load balancing, and high availability.
• Optimize cost and resource utilization.

Database & Performance

• Design and optimize databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Implement caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).
• Optimize queries and backend performance.
• Maintain database security and backups.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Node.js (Express.js/NestJS) or PHP (Laravel).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and backend architecture.
• Hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
