Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Generator Operator role based in the Karachi Division. The Generator Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining generators to ensure continuous and reliable power supply. Daily tasks include starting, shutting down, and testing generators; checking fuel, oil, and coolant levels; and recording operational data such as voltages, currents, and running hours. The role also involves conducting routine inspections, identifying faults, and coordinating minor repairs or reporting major issues to maintenance teams. The Generator Operator will follow safety protocols, maintain cleanliness around generator areas, and collaborate with supervisors and other technical staff to ensure compliance with operational standards.
Qualifications
 

• Proven experience in operating and monitoring diesel or gas generators in an industrial, commercial, or facility setting.
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge related to generator systems, including troubleshooting common operational issues.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, operating manuals, and safety procedures accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and ability to maintain logs of generator performance and maintenance activities.
• Physical ability to work on-site, including standing for extended periods, handling tools, and working in outdoor or confined environments as required.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and other team members.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call hours as needed to support continuous operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electrical, mechanical, or power systems is an advantage.
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards and a strong commitment to safe operating practices.
