Officer Cash Management & Insurance Operations

Purpose

To support and efficiently manage the Bank’s cash management and insurance operations, ensuring timely availability of cash at branches and new locations, effective management of COC (Cash on Counter) requirements, daily cash reconciliation, and appropriate insurance coverage for cash, assets, and operational risks. The role will ensure adherence to approved policies, limits, controls, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process branch COC (Cash on Counter) requests and ensure timely cash availability.
• Consolidate branch cash requirements, monitor cash positions and arrange cash for new locations.
• Coordinate with branches, Finance, Treasury, partner banks and cash service providers for cash arrangements and settlements.
• Monitor branch cash balances against approved limits and identify shortages, excesses and unusual movements.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation, investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution and escalation.
• Prepare cash forecasts and MIS to support effective liquidity and cash utilization planning.
• Coordinate cash-in-transit arrangements and ensure compliance with approved security and operational procedures.
• Manage cash and operational insurance arrangements, including policy renewals, coverage, endorsements and documentation.
• Coordinate insurance claims, ensuring timely submission of supporting documents and follow-up through settlement.
• Provide operational support to branches on cash, COC, cash limits and insurance-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with approved policies, SOPs, controls, cash limits and regulatory requirements; escalate exceptions promptly.
• Maintain accurate records, trackers and daily/weekly/monthly MIS and provide timely management updates.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Administration or a relevant field.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in cash management, branch operations, finance, reconciliation, insurance or banking operations.
• Experience in microfinance/banking operations will be preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and operational MIS.
• Strong coordination, follow-up and reconciliation skills.
