Role Description
We’re hiring a Shopify Website Optimization Specialist to streamline our e-commerce platform’s technical performance and search engine visibility. This role focuses on website customization, SEO automation, and SEM strategies to enhance user experience and drive organic/paid search traffic.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Shopify Customization:
Redesign and optimize homepage, product pages, and collections for mobile-first UX/UI.
Troubleshoot theme code (Liquid/HTML/CSS) for layout fixes, speed optimization, and responsiveness.
Implement bulk edits via CSV templates and tools like Excelify/Matrixify.
2. SEO Automation & Strategy:
Automate bulk optimization of meta titles/descriptions, schema markup, and image alt-text.
Ensure Google Shopping compliance (GTINs, categories, product feeds).
Conduct keyword research and on-page SEO audits using tools like Ahrefs/SEMrush.
3. SEM Campaign Management:
Develop and manage Google Ads campaigns (Search, Shopping) to boost paid search visibility.
Optimize ad copy, bids, and landing pages for maximum ROI.
Collaborate with content teams to align SEM strategies with product listings.
4. Analytics & Reporting:
Track SEO/SEM KPIs (organic rankings, CTR, CPC) via Google Analytics and Shopify Reports.
Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Requirements
3–5 years of Shopify technical management (Liquid, HTML/CSS).
Expertise in SEO automation (metadata, schema, image optimization).
Hands-on SEM experience (Google Ads, Shopping campaigns).
Proficiency in bulk editing tools (Excelify, Matrixify) and SEO platforms (Ahrefs, SEMrush).
Familiarity with Google Analytics and Shopify’s backend structure.
Experience with Google Merchant Center and product feed optimization.
Knowledge of technical SEO audits and site speed tools (PageSpeed Insights).
