Site Engineer

Job Description

Zeekam Constructions is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to oversee and manage construction activities on-site in Karachi. Candidates having DAE Civil  or BE/BSC Civil may apply for this job. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in construction management and strong quantity surveying capabilities. This role requires effective coordination to ensure timely completion, maintaining high standards of quality and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle. The Site Engineer may lead a team of 20 personnel or more, directing daily operations and providing technical guidance to ensure projects meet all specifications and client requirements. The Site Engineer acts as the key point of contact between the construction team, clients, and subcontractors. This position demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to accurately survey quantities and materials, and comprehensive knowledge of construction processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and executing construction tasks while upholding safety standards, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities
 

• Plan, organize, and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed within the agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Lead and manage a team of 20 construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance, scheduling, and motivation to achieve optimal performance.
• Conduct thorough quantity surveying to estimate materials, labor, and costs accurately, contributing to budget planning and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to interpret construction plans and specifications clearly and implement necessary adjustments.
• Monitor work progress regularly and identify potential delays or issues, proactively initiating corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on site to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.
• Review and approve daily work reports, timesheets, and material usage, maintaining accurate documentation for project tracking and auditing purposes.
• Inspect workmanship and materials to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual obligations, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
• Manage procurement of construction materials and equipment, ensuring availability as per project schedules and negotiating with suppliers to optimize cost-efficiency.
• Facilitate effective communication between all team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote collaboration and resolve conflicts.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical or operational challenges encountered during construction activities.
• Implement sustainable construction practices where applicable to minimize environmental impact and promote resource efficiency
