Key Responsibilities of a Shopify Visual Merchandiser:
1. Storefront Arrangement & Product Organization
Curate Collections & Product Categories
Group products strategically (e.g., New Arrivals, Best Sellers, Seasonal Collections).
Ensure products are categorized correctly with tags and collections.
Optimize Product Sorting & Display Order
Prioritize best-selling or high-margin items at the top of collections.
Arrange products based on data-driven insights (e.g., customer behavior, trends).
Update Homepage Featured Sections
Select highlighted products for homepage banners or promotional sections.
Regularly update sections like "Trending Now", "Back in Stock", or "Limited Edition".
2. Uploading & Optimizing Product Media
Upload High-Quality Product Photos
Ensure consistent image sizes and backgrounds.
Optimize images for fast loading speed (compress large files).
Manage 360° or Video Content
Upload interactive media (Shopify supports videos, GIFs, and 3D models).
Write & Format Product Descriptions
Use SEO best practices to improve search rankings.
Ensure clear, persuasive, and scannable formatting (bullet points, short paragraphs).
Add size charts, fabric info, and care instructions where necessary.
3. Updating Banners & Promotions
Create & Swap Homepage Banners

4. Managing Product Availability & Inventory
Manage Look & Appearance of Sold Out Banners, Mark Items as Sold Out

Sell out low performing items during drops
Mark Down Items & Manage Discounts
Set up sales pricing, automatic discounts, or bundles.
Create strikethrough pricing for clearance or flash sales.
Remove Discontinued or Seasonal Products

5. Optimizing the Customer Journey
Ensure Navigation is Intuitive
Update menus, filters, and search categories to improve product discovery.

Design & Implement Email Campaigns
Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo, including product announcements, sales, and seasonal promotions.
Segmentation & Personalization
Use Klaviyo’s segmentation tools to send personalized product recommendations based on customer behavior and preferences.
Automated Workflows
Set up and optimize automated email flows (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase emails) to drive engagement and conversions.
Analyze Campaign Performance
Track key email metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates) in Klaviyo to adjust future strategies and improve overall customer engagement.
