The Assistant Manager – EDB will be responsible for managing all communication and compliance activities related to the Engineering Development Board (EDB). This role is essential in ensuring that all documentation, model approvals, and coordination with customs authorities are handled efficiently to support smooth import operations and the company’s localization goals. The position demands a strong focus on regulatory adherence and maintaining precise records to comply with audit and renewal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main liaison for all matters concerning the Engineering Development Board (EDB).
- Ensure strict compliance with EDB regulations, circulars, and policies.
- Oversee documentation and submissions under the Tariff-Based System (TBS).
- Coordinate the approval process for models and variants with EDB officials.
- Track and report localization progress in line with regulatory standards.
- Communicate with customs authorities to clarify part classifications and duty structures.
- Maintain and update records to support audits and renewal processes.
