Business Development Manager - Pakistan

Gaan Baksho Music (GBM) is a leading music rights management, publishing, and distribution Company. We help record labels, publishers, and artists thrive by offering expert services in mechanical rights, performance rights, synchronization licenses, and global digital distribution. With an extensive network of international music collection societies, GBM ensures worldwide coverage while simplifying complex copyright laws. Our rigorous copyright infringement tracking and royalty collection processes ensure every rightsholder receives the earnings they are owed, including support for backdated royalty claims and the protection of intellectual properties.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is already genuinely involved in Pakistan’s music and media industry and understands how the local market operates.

This role is not suited to someone coming purely from a general marketing or sales background. We are specifically seeking a candidate who already has exposure to the Pakistan music space and can bring relevant local relationships, market understanding, and the ability to help grow our presence in a practical and credible way.

The person in this role will help us connect with the right people in the industry, build trust in the market, identify new opportunities, and support client growth in Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Build and maintain strong relationships within Pakistan’s music, media, and entertainment industry
• Identify and approach potential clients, partners, and industry contacts
• Support client sign-up and business growth in Pakistan
• Connect with artists, labels, producers, composers, managers, studios, publishers, and other relevant stakeholders
• Help increase our visibility and credibility in the local market
• Share market insights, industry developments, and business opportunities with management
• Represent the company professionally in local meetings, discussions, and relevant industry settings
• Contribute to our long-term market presence and growth strategy in Pakistan

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently active in Pakistan’s music, media, or entertainment industry
• Has an existing network of relevant local industry contacts
• Understands the Pakistani music landscape and key stakeholders
• Can build relationships with confidence and professionalism
• Is commercially aware and able to recognise real business opportunities
• Is self-motivated and comfortable working independently
• Has experience in partnerships, artist relations, label relations, music business, business development, media relations, publishing, distribution, or related areas

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:

• Music industry partnerships
• Artist or label relations
• Music publishing or distribution
• Rights management or royalty-related work
• Media and entertainment partnerships
• Music business operations
• Existing relationships with Pakistani radio, television, digital platforms, music media, or entertainment networks
