Job Description

F&M is seeking a skilled Civil Draftsman with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join our team. This role demands expertise in creating detailed technical drawings, layouts, and schematics for civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will prepare accurate and compliant construction documentation using software such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D. They will conduct site surveys, interpret engineering designs, and collaborate with project teams to finalize drawings that meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in relevant drafting tools, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively without team management responsibilities. The Civil Draftsman plays a critical role in supporting project execution by maintaining up-to-date technical drawings and documentation. This role involves close coordination with engineers and project stakeholders to revise designs based on technical feedback, site conditions, and client requirements. Candidates must have a solid understanding of civil drafting principles, site survey interpretation, and relevant electrical and civil standards. The ability to maintain precise drawing registers and version control is essential to ensure project integrity and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
 

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, layouts, schematics, and construction documents using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Develop and update Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and other technical drawings for civil and electrical systems to support project design and execution.
• Conduct civil site surveys to collect accurate field data and integrate findings into technical drawings for constructability and compliance.
• Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and client requirements to create precise technical drawings that adhere to industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and BS/EN.
• Coordinate with civil and electrical engineers, architects, and project teams to finalize design drawings and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Revise drawings based on technical inputs, site survey results, and feedback from project managers and clients to maintain accuracy and relevance.
• Maintain and manage drawing registers, documentation, and version control systems to ensure accessibility and traceability of all project drawings.
• Support the construction and project execution teams by providing updated and accurate drawings, assisting in project troubleshooting and clarifications as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the drafting process, contributing to the delivery of high-quality project documentation.
• Effectively manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict project deadlines.
