Title: Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Overview:

We seek a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with 5+years of experience, specializing in Microsoft Azure security and US healthcare industry compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in protecting sensitive healthcare data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating cybersecurity threats within cloud environments. This position requires a proactive professional who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust security measures tailored to healthcare IT infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage cybersecurity strategies to safeguard healthcare systems and cloud environments.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other US healthcare regulations.
• Configure and monitor Azure security tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
• Implement cloud-native security solutions to protect sensitive healthcare data.
• Monitor security incidents, analyze threats, and respond effectively to security breaches.
• Assist in incident response, including investigation, containment, and recovery.
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and legal teams to align security policies with industry standards.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory changes in the healthcare sector.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Provide security awareness training to internal teams and end-users.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2+ years focused on Azure security.
• Proficiency in Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure AD.
• Strong understanding of network security, identity management, and data protection in cloud environments.
• Experience with SIEM tools, incident response, and forensic investigations.
• Knowledge of US healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and best practices.
• Experience in securing healthcare IT systems, including EHR/EMR platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
