Project planning and implementation: Conduct baseline studies on environmental parameters, Identify and mitigate environmental risks. Prepare and update necessary E & S instruments as per ESCP including but not limited to Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF), Environment and Social Management Plan (ESMP), Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP). Support PIU in developing comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), develop and implement ESMPs tailored to address identified risks, including mitigation measures for livestock waste management, aquaculture practices, and civil construction impacts. Develop site-specific plans for managing construction impacts such as noise, dust, and waste during civil works. Review all bidding documents to make sure that E & S aspects are well covered in bidding documents and respective contracts
Civil Works Oversight: Assess the environmental impacts of civil works (e.g., construction of farms, hatcheries, water supply systems, and related infrastructure). Develop mitigation measures for construction activities, such as dust control, noise reduction, and waste management.
Capacity Building and Training Materials: Conduct
awareness and training programs on identification of environmental impacts and mitigation measures as per requirement of ESCP. Support preparation and delivery of EMF orientation, training and capacity building activities for all project stakeholders. Training modules and workshops for project staff, contractors, and local stakeholders on:
✓ Sustainable livestock and aquaculture practices.
✓ Environmental conservation and pollution control.
✓ Reports on training outcomes and participant feedback.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop checklists for screening, assessment and monitoring formats (as the case may be) for all sub activities. Supervise and facilitate the carrying out of the environment screening plans and develop reports on prescribed format of WB guidelines.
Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM): Establish and operationalize a GRM to address community concerns and complaints effectively. Regular reports on grievance resolution, including statistics and case studies.
Compliance Reports: Periodic environmental and social
compliance monitoring reports for submission to PIU, and World Bank and regulatory authorities.
Any other task/ report required by the project entities in addition to assignment completion report.

Duration of Assignment:
All the positions are initially for the period of 12 months for incremental staff and 36 months for individual consultants/ experts, and further extendable on year to year performance basis till project life. All the positions are contractual; the contract can be terminated at any time if the offered services declared as unsatisfactory. Candidates already serving in the Government Departments/ Public sector organization have to apply through proper channel.
