Garment Machinery Technician

Job Description

Agay Barho is seeking an experienced Garment Machinery Technician to maintain and repair industrial sewing machines and related garment production equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both mechanical troubleshooting and electrical systems repair, with a diploma in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of six years of relevant experience. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who ensures all machinery operates efficiently and safely to support continuous production processes. The technician applies expert knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including hydraulic and pneumatic components, while adhering strictly to safety standards to minimize downtime and enhance overall equipment performance. The Garment Machinery Technician collaborates closely with production teams to diagnose equipment issues and implement timely solutions, ensuring seamless machine operations. This role does not include managing a team but requires a proactive approach to preventive maintenance, quality control, and record keeping. The technician is also responsible for recommending improvements or upgrades to optimize machine efficiency and supports training sessions by sharing best practices related to equipment operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
 

• Maintain and repair industrial sewing machines and garment production equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize production interruptions.
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance according to quality control procedures to reduce the risk of machine malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical wiring problems and maintain key electrical components of production machinery to ensure reliable operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maintain seamless operation of sewing and auxiliary machines.
• Collaborate with production staff to identify and address equipment challenges promptly, contributing to continuous manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, machine repairs, and parts inventory for monitoring and operational review.
• Strictly follow all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance and repair work to ensure a safe working environment.
• Recommend and implement machinery upgrades or modifications to improve operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
• Support the training of production personnel by sharing technical knowledge and effective maintenance techniques to optimize machine usage.
