Jr. CMS Developer

Fission Tech is seeking a talented CMS developer. In order to guarantee the best possible performance, functionality, and user experience, the CMS Developer will be instrumental in the design, development, and upkeep of our content management system (CMS). The ideal applicant will be passionate about developing scalable, cutting-edge solutions and possess a solid history in web development and CMS systems.

Responsibilities:

• Integration: Integrate third-party systems, APIs, and services with the CMS platform to enable seamless data exchange and interoperability.
• CMS Development: Create, develop, and adapt CMS systems to the needs and goals of the company.
• Frontend and Backend Development: Use the right technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, or other pertinent programming languages, to implement frontend interfaces and backend functionalities.
• Plugin and Module Development: Create custom plugins, modules, and extensions to enhance the functionality and capabilities of the CMS platform.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize CMS performance, scalability, and security through code refactoring, caching mechanisms, and other techniques.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of CMS applications to ensure reliability, stability, and compliance with coding standards.
• Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, code comments, and user guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Collaboration: To get requirements and provide solutions that satisfy business needs, cooperate with cross-functional teams comprising designers, content producers, and system administrators.
• Continuous Learning: Keep abreast with new developments in the field, industry trends, and best practices for web and CMS development.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a CMS developer or in a related position, along with a solid portfolio that highlights CMS adaptations and projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in web development languages and frameworks, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and jQuery.
• In-depth knowledge of CMS platforms, such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, or similar, including theme development, plugin/module customization, and administration.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and code collaboration tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet project deadlines.
