Medical Officer - Microbiology Lab

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and validate microbiological tests on clinical specimens. 
Interpret and report microbiology results, including culture and sensitivity tests. 
Guide laboratory technologists in specimen processing and testing protocols. 
Ensure adherence to CAP, ISO, and hospital infection control guidelines. 
Collaborate with physicians and infection control teams for patient management. 
Participate in internal and external quality control and accreditation programs. 
Assist in developing and implementing new microbiological techniques. 
Ensure biosafety, sterilization, and proper disposal of infectious materials. 
Conduct training sessions for lab staff on microbiology best practices.
