This role is ideal for experienced corporate recruiters, talent sourcers, or agency recruiters who want to manage active searches and candidate pipelines for multiple companies on a part-time, project-based, or hourly retainer basis.


 

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Active Sourcing: Proactively identifying and reaching out to passive talent across professional networks, databases, and alternative platforms to build targeted pipelines.
  • Application Screening: Reviewing inbound resumes and portfolios to quickly identify individuals who meet the technical, behavioral, and cultural requirements of the role.
  • Candidate Assessment: Conducting initial phone or video interviews to evaluate core competencies, communication skills, and compensation expectations before advancing candidates to hiring managers.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintaining accurate, real-time records of all candidate interactions and moving applicants efficiently through the internal tracking system.
  • Candidate Experience: Serving as the primary point of contact for all applicants, providing timely updates, constructive feedback, and a highly professional experience regardless of the hiring outcome.
  • Interview Coordination: Managing the complex logistics of scheduling panel interviews and technical assessments between external candidates and busy internal stakeholders.
  • Market Intelligence: Gathering real-time data on compensation trends, competitor hiring behavior, and talent availability to advise hiring managers on realistic expectations.
  • Offer Support: Assisting with background verifications, reference checks, and the logistical preparation of final offer documentation.


 

Required qualities may include:

  • Proven Experience: Background as a Recruiter, Talent Sourcer, or Talent Acquisition Specialist within corporate or high-volume agency environments.
  • Sourcing Acumen: Advanced ability to build complex search strings and uncover highly qualified candidates in competitive talent markets.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills to craft compelling outreach messages that persuade passive candidates to take a conversation.
  • Organizational Agility: The capacity to manage multiple open requisitions, juggle varying hiring manager preferences, and track hundreds of candidates simultaneously without letting details slip.
  • Urgency & Speed: A strong bias for action, understanding that top-tier talent moves quickly and delays in the process result in lost hires.
  • Empathy: A candidate-first mindset that prioritizes transparency, respect, and clear communication throughout the stressful job search process.
  • Objectivity: The ability to evaluate talent based strictly on merit and role requirements, actively mitigating personal or unconscious bias during the screening phase.
