EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Secretarial Compliance to ensure the company adheres to all corporate, statutory, and regulatory obligations. This role requires a strong understanding of secretarial audits, compliance management, and corporate governance principles to support the Company Secretary effectively. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience and be skilled in legal documentation, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory compliance. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it plays a crucial role in maintaining the companys governance standards and smooth execution of board and statutory matters. The Assistant Manager acts as a key contributor in compliance management by conducting rigorous secretarial audits and assisting with the preparation and submission of statutory reports and filings. This role involves working closely with different departments and external regulators to ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The position demands strong organizational and communication skills to facilitate proper stakeholder coordination and maintain up-to-date records of legal and regulatory documentation. By supporting the corporate governance framework, the Assistant Manager enhances transparency and sustains the companys integrity within the regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
 

  • Support the Company Secretary in managing all statutory obligations and ensure timely submission of statutory returns and regulatory filings.
  • Conduct secretarial audits to evaluate compliance with corporate governance requirements and internal policies.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations related to corporate governance and compliance to advise the management accordingly.
  • Maintain and update legal documentation, including board resolutions, minutes, and registers, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for compliance reporting and audits.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating board meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and follow-up on action items.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance requirements across company operations and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on compliance status and governance matters for senior management and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve secretarial compliance efficiency and mitigate risks related to legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Support the company in maintaining adherence to corporate governance codes and frameworks for sustained regulatory approval and business integrity.
