Construction Project Manager

G & W Associates is seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager with at least five years of experience to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong skills related to department operations and will be responsible for frequent on-site visits to monitor day-to-day activities. This role focuses on ensuring projects are executed efficiently while adhering to quality, safety, and schedule requirements. Although this position does not include managing a team, it requires effective collaboration with various contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain smooth project flow and consistent communication throughout the construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities
 

• Conduct regular visits to construction sites and department locations to assess project progress and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that project materials and services meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
• Monitor day-to-day operations on the construction site to identify and resolve any issues that may affect project timelines or budgets.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, reports, and change orders to track progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment throughout all stages of construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to coordinate design changes and address technical challenges promptly.
• Manage project budgets to control costs and avoid overruns while maximizing resource efficiency.
• Assess risks and implement mitigation strategies to handle potential delays, material shortages, or unforeseen site conditions.
• Facilitate communication and reporting between project owners, contractors, and suppliers to ensure transparency and alignment on project goals.
