Agay Barho is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service & Marketing Officer to join our freight forwarding and logistics team. This role requires handling customer inquiries, providing shipment updates, and supporting sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth. The ideal candidate will act as a vital link between customers, operations, and overseas partners, ensuring smooth communication and efficient service delivery. This position demands excellent coordination, attention to detail, and a strong customer-oriented approach. The role involves preparing quotations, assisting with pricing proposals, generating leads through various channels, and maintaining accurate customer and shipment records. The candidate will support internal departments to foster smooth workflow and build lasting relationships that promote customer satisfaction and retention. This role does not include team management but requires working collaboratively across multiple functions to meet operational goals and resolve shipment-related concerns promptly.
Responsibilities
 

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding freight forwarding and logistics services.
  • Coordinate shipment status updates, follow-ups, and delivery schedules with customers.
  • Assist in preparing quotations, pricing proposals, and service agreements tailored to client needs.
  • Communicate effectively with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, clearing agents, and overseas partners to arrange shipments.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts to develop new business opportunities and sustain customer relationships.
  • Generate leads using calls, emails, referrals, and online platforms to expand business reach.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, shipment data, and operational reports.
  • Collaborate internally with operations, documentation, and customer service teams to ensure smooth workflow and information sharing.
  • Build and maintain strong and positive customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and promote retention.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues and operational concerns related to shipments with timely solutions.
  • Continuously adapt to a fast-paced environment by learning freight forwarding and logistics processes.
  • Leverage proficiency in MS Office applications to support reporting, documentation, and communication tasks.
