Education Counsellor

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive consultations with clients to assess their academic and career goals.
Research and stay up-to-date with international universities, programs, and admission requirements.
Assist clients in selecting suitable educational institutions and programs.
Guide clients through the application process, including document preparation and visa applications.
Provide ongoing support and advice to clients, ensuring a smooth transition to their chosen international education destination.
Stay informed about scholarship opportunities, financial aid options, and funding resources to help clients secure financial assistance for their studies.
Offer insights into cultural and lifestyle aspects of studying abroad, helping clients prepare for the challenges and experiences they may encounter.
Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions and relevant organizations abroad to facilitate smoother admissions processes.
Organize and conduct informational seminars, workshops, or webinars to educate clients and the public about studying abroad.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions, applications, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

What to Expect

You will be working in an office environment.
You'll be expected to dress smartly, especially for meetings.
Depending on the type of business or trainings, overnight or overseas travel may be required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Time Management and Presentation skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to clients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong research and analytical abilities to stay updated on global education trends.
Counseling skills to provide informed and empathetic guidance.
Proficiency in using relevant software tools and databases.
Cross-cultural competence and sensitivity.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple clients and deadlines.
Ethical standards and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Sales and marketing skills (preferred but not required).
