Position: ELV Engineer

Location : Karachi (On-Site)

Job Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys and technical assessments for ELV and IT projects.

Prepare system designs, BOQs, technical proposals, compliance sheets, and network architecture.

Design and plan:

IP CCTV Surveillance Systems

Access Control Systems

Video Management Systems (VMS)

Network Infrastructure

Fiber Optic Connectivity

Server & Storage Solutions

Prepare technical drawings, layouts, schematics, rack elevations, and topology diagrams.

Review tender/RFP documents and prepare technical responses.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams for design approvals.

Deployment & Implementation

Execute installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of:

IP Cameras

NVRs/DVRs/VMS

Access Control Devices

Controllers & Readers

Turnstiles & Barrier Gates

Switches, Routers & Firewalls

Servers & Storage Systems

Supervise technicians, contractors, and field teams during project execution.

Ensure implementation according to approved drawings, standards, and project timelines.

Configure networking including VLANs, IP schemes, routing basics, and fiber connectivity.

Perform integration between CCTV, Access Control, and third-party systems.

Maintain project documentation, reports, and installation records.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

Conduct system testing and troubleshooting.

Perform FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.

Ensure successful client acceptance and project handover.

Prepare:

As-built drawings

Test reports

User manuals

Training documents

Handover certificates

Provide end-user training and operational demonstrations.

After Sales Support & Maintenance

Provide technical support and preventive/corrective maintenance services.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Handle warranty claims, RMAs, and coordination with OEMs/vendors.

Ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution of complaints.

Conduct routine inspections, health checks, firmware updates, and system optimization.

Prepare maintenance reports and service documentation.

Project Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding project progress.

Attend technical meetings and prepare MOMs (Minutes of Meetings).

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Support procurement team in technical evaluation of products and vendors.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in ELV and IT systems.

• Hands-on experience in CCTV Systems, Access Control Systems, Networking, Fiber Optic Infrastructure, Server & Storage Solutions

• Experience in Safe City, Smart City, Data Center, or enterprise security projects will be preferred.
