Full job description

The Head of Accounts & Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring effective financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will lead the accounts and finance team, implement robust internal controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and sustainability.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Financial Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate management reports for senior leadership.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and highlight variances.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, Payroll, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/IAS, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
  • Set objectives, provide training, and ensure professional growth of team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Business Support

  • Evaluate financial feasibility of projects, investments, and new initiatives.
  • Support business units with financial insights and performance metrics.
  • Optimize cost control and resource allocation across departments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
