IT Assistant

IT ASSISTANT REQUIRED

Singapore based Maritime Group requires a competent IT Assistant for its Karachi Office. Decent remuneration and benefits will be offered commensurate to potential candidate’s qualification and experience.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institute.
• Additional certifications or short courses in IT tools, networks, or software will be preferred.

Experience

• At least One Year experience in similar role. However, duly qualified fresh candidates with convincing competence will also be considered.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Basic IT Support & System Assistance

• Assist in the day-to-day IT operations including troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide first-level technical support to staff in the Karachi office and coordinate with senior IT staff for overseas support when required.
• Help with the setup and maintenance of IT equipment including computers, printers, and network devices.

Software & Hardware Maintenance

• Install and update software applications under supervision.
• Ensure regular health checks for system performance and assist in resolving minor technical issues.

CCTV & Network Support

• Support in routine network checks and performance monitoring.
• Perform routine LAN and CCTV network troubleshooting and cable management.

Procurement and Outdoor support

• Visits to IT vendors for procurement of hardware, software, and services as and when required.
• Visits to outdoor sites for technical support as and when required.

Cybersecurity Awareness

• Follow company IT and cybersecurity protocols.
• Report any suspicious activity or vulnerabilities to senior IT staff.

Learning & Development

• Participate in training sessions and stay updated with basic IT trends.
• Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced IT responsibilities over time.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting.
