Highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator Assistant will play a key role in supporting the daily logistics operations by helping with the coordination of shipments, inventory management, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and external partners.
Job Description:
1. Shipment Coordination
- Assist in scheduling shipments and managing delivery schedules
- Help coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders and couriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure that products are delivered on time
- Communicate any shipment delays, discrepancies, or issues to the relevant teams
2. Inventory Management
- Assist in inventory tracking and managing stock levels
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure that goods are stored properly and are available when needed
- Support with periodic inventory audits to ensure that records are up-to-date and accurate
3. Documentation & Reporting
- Assist in preparing shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, delivery notes, and invoices
- Maintain records and reports on inventory, shipments, and delivery schedules
- Prepare and file transportation-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
4. Communication & Coordination
- Act as a point of contact for vendors, suppliers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth communication
- Support the logistics coordinator in resolving any issues related to shipments, damaged goods, or delays
- Work closely with internal departments such as sales, procurement, and customer service to meet logistics requirements
5. Data Entry & System Updates
- Enter logistics data into the management system
- Update the system with shipment status, inventory counts, and other key data points
6. Logistics Planning & Optimization
- Help with planning and optimizing delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Assist with identifying areas for improvement in logistics operations, including cost-saving initiatives and process streamlining
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, shipping documentation, and inventory management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
