Manager - Research

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a skilled Manager - Research to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the head of research by developing macroeconomic forecasts and creating investment strategies that guide decision-making. This position involves building and reviewing detailed financial models, valuations, and investment recommendations across equity and fixed-income instruments. The candidate will conduct feasibility assessments of corporate debt and fixed-income proposals, providing well-founded recommendations that align with our investment goals. A crucial part of this role includes engaging with company management, industry experts, and other stakeholders to collect market intelligence and investment insights essential for informed analysis. The Manager - Research will oversee stock coverage tasks and manage ad hoc research assignments, contributing to special projects that advance the companys research capabilities. This position requires a proactive and flexible individual who takes ownership of diverse research activities and collaborates effectively across functions. As a leader, the manager will supervise a team of one person, fostering their professional development through diligent review and mentorship to ensure high-quality analytical outputs and continuous improvement within the research team.
Responsibilities
 

• Assist the head of research in creating accurate macroeconomic forecasts and formulating comprehensive investment strategies.
• Develop, review, and refine financial models, valuations, and investment recommendations for equity and fixed-income instruments to support informed investment decisions.
• Conduct thorough feasibility assessments of corporate debt and other fixed-income proposals, presenting well-supported recommendations based on detailed analysis.
• Engage regularly with company management, industry experts, and other key stakeholders to gather relevant market intelligence and investment insights.
• Oversee responsibilities related to side stock coverage and execute ad hoc research tasks efficiently to address emerging research needs.
• Contribute actively to special research projects and initiatives that enhance the depth and breadth of the company's research capabilities.
• Demonstrate flexibility in handling various research assignments and collaborate effectively across departments to support organizational objectives.
• Manage and mentor a research team member, providing guidance and reviewing work to ensure quality, accuracy, and professional development.
• Ensure that all research outputs meet established standards of analytical rigor and align with company policies and objectives.
• Promote ownership and accountability within the team, encouraging continuous learning and improvement in research methodologies.
