Job Title: Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Job Summary

We are seeking a Functional Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support the successful implementation and ongoing operation of our ERP system. The role will initially assist with ERP implementation activities, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, data validation, and user training. Following implementation, the consultant will serve as the primary functional support resource, resolving day-to-day user issues, optimizing business processes, and ensuring effective utilization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

ERP Implementation Support

Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from various departments
Support system configuration and setup of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Participate in business process mapping and fit-gap analysis sessions
Assist with data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate issue resolution
Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions
Assist the implementation partner and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle


Functional Support & Issue Resolution

Serve as the first point of contact for Business Central functional issues and user queries
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day ERP-related issues
Monitor system performance and identify areas for process improvement
Escalate technical issues to development teams or implementation partners when required
Track and manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution
Assist users with transactions, reporting, workflows, and system navigation


Business Process Improvement

Analyze operational processes and recommend system enhancements
Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency
Configure workflows, approvals, user roles, and permissions as required
Support implementation of new modules, features, and process enhancements
Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures


Reporting & User Training

Create and maintain functional reports and dashboards
Support users with report generation and data analysis requirements
Conduct refresher training sessions for existing & new employees
Prepare user guides, process documentation, and knowledge base materials


Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, Operations, and Management teams
Coordinate with external consultants and ERP vendors for enhancements and support
Gather user feedback and recommend continuous improvements
Ensure business requirements are effectively translated into system solutions


Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
3–5 years of experience working with ERP systems as a Functional Consultant, ERP Support Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Strong understanding of Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Sales, and Operational business processes
Experience supporting ERP users and resolving functional issues
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
