This full-time position focuses on the inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of drilling tools and equipment. The role demands strict adherence to company policies, ISO standards, and QHSE regulations, ensuring that all equipment is handled properly and documentation is accurate. The successful candidate will work under supervision, performing non-destructive testing (NDT) and supporting various operational and reporting tasks related to drilling tools, contributing to the overall quality and safety of drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of drilling tools and equipment by performing NDT operations as directed and under the supervision of a Level II inspector.
- Accurately set up testing equipment and carry out tests, ensuring precise recording of all results obtained.
- Perform post-cleaning and maintenance tasks including external cleaning with buffing brushes, internal cleaning using rotary brushes, coating, and redoing as necessary.
- Thoroughly clean equipment and accessories to uphold operational standards.
- Assist in preparing inspection reports based on collected data to support quality assurance processes.
- Ensure proper storage of equipment and accessories, returning unused consumables to the storekeeper.
- Strictly follow company policies, ISO standards, QHSE guidelines, and other relevant industry standards to maintain safety and quality.
- Complete all required documentation before departing for any job, including details of vehicles used, consumables, work orders, and stationery.
- Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by authorized personnel to support operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Experience or training in conducting NDT operations under supervision.
- Ability to accurately set up and operate inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures for drilling tools.
- Familiarity with company policies, ISO standards, and QHSE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data recording and reporting.
- Capability to manage equipment storage and inventory responsibly.
- Good organizational skills to handle documentation and job preparation effectively.
