Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer (Local Office Network Maintenance)

Location: On-site - Karachi

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled network engineer to manage, maintain, and secure our local office network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day network operations, troubleshoot issues promptly, and support users with network-related needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi networks
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and connectivity issues
• Manage IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network security policies
• Perform regular network maintenance, upgrades, and backups
• Ensure network security, including access control and threat prevention
• Maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required
• Provide technical support to office staff for network-related issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network administration or engineering
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols
• Experience with Cisco, MikroTik, Ubiquiti, or similar networking equipment
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and basic cybersecurity practices
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently
• Good communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• Network certifications (CCNA, MTCNA, or equivalent)
• Experience in office/corporate network environments
• Basic knowledge of servers and system administration.
