We are seeking a skilled Desktop and Network Support Engineer to join our IT team.

As a Desktop and Network Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's desktop computers, network infrastructure, and providing technical support for end-users.

You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth system performance, while maintaining both hardware and software systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Desktop Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and software, ensuring optimal functionality for end-users.

• Network Support: Maintain and support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.

• User Support: Provide timely technical support to end-users by addressing hardware, software, and network issues, and ensure user productivity is maintained.

• Bug Fixing & Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks, resolve functionality issues, and optimize both desktop and network systems for better performance and reliability.

• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security measures for desktops and networks, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls, ensuring compliance with IT policies and standards.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, software installations, hardware inventories, and troubleshooting logs. Qualifications

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Experience:

2-5 years of experience in desktop and network support, with hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting desktop operating systems, networks, and related hardware.

Skills:

o Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and troubleshooting techniques.

o Experience with network protocols, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN configurations.

o Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, 0365 Expertise, Networks, Firewalls, active directory concepts and basic networking principles.

o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve both hardware and software issues.
