Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and cost management functions of construction projects. The role involves assisting in cost estimation, measurement, BOQ preparation, subcontractor coordination, and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Support tendering processes, including bid evaluation and comparison.
• Assist in preparing interim payment certificates, valuations, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and support cost control and forecasting activities.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, variations, and site progress.
• Coordinate with site engineers, planners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist in assessing variations, claims, and change orders.
• Support compliance with contractual terms and company procedures.
• Prepare reports related to cost, progress, and financial performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.

Skills and Competencies

• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office, familiarity with QS software is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment

Experience

• 6 to 8 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related construction role.

Work Environment

• Combination of office-based and site-based work.
• May require visits to construction sites as per project requirements.
