Our client, Recruit AI, is seeking a Senior SAP Plant Maintenance Executive based in Karachi. The role is crucial in managing and maintaining the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module to ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operations. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining master data such as equipment and functional locations, processing maintenance notifications and work orders, and ensuring data accuracy across all transactions. This position supports preventive maintenance scheduling, tracks breakdowns, and analyzes maintenance data to identify opportunities for operational improvements. Additionally, the role involves developing dashboards and management information system (MIS) reports using SAP reporting tools, Microsoft Power BI, and MS Access to provide clear visibility into maintenance performance. Close coordination with maintenance engineers, stores, and purchasing teams is essential to ensure spare parts availability and timely material reservations within SAP. The Senior Executive will also provide user support and training to maintenance staff on SAP PM functionalities and escalate complex issues to the SAP/IT team. Strong analytical skills and effective communication are vital, as the role requires delivering insightful reports to support management reviews and preventive maintenance compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and update SAP PM master data, including equipment, functional locations, maintenance plans, task lists, and bills of materials (BOMs), ensuring accurate and up-to-date system records.
- Create, process, and close maintenance notifications and work orders for breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance with precise data entry.
- Support the scheduling of preventive maintenance activities and monitor compliance with maintenance plans to minimize equipment downtime.
- Capture, document, and track breakdown history, downtime incidents, mean time between failures (MTBF), mean time to repair (MTTR), and associated maintenance costs.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and MIS reports using SAP reporting tools, Microsoft Power BI, and MS Access to visualize maintenance performance metrics.
- Develop and manage MS Access databases and queries for maintenance tracking and detailed data analysis to support operational decision-making.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify recurring failures, high-cost assets, and potential opportunities for process and cost improvements.
- Coordinate with maintenance engineers, stores, and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and proper material reservations in SAP.
- Provide basic user support, guidance, and training to maintenance personnel on SAP PM functionalities and escalate technical issues to the SAP/IT team as necessary.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, completeness, and timely reporting to support effective management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply knowledge of maintenance concepts such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), preventive, and predictive maintenance to enhance SAP PM utilization and maintenance outcomes.
- Facilitate clear communication of maintenance data, reports, and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

Required Qualifications

- Relevant technical qualifications in engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Practical experience working with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module, including master data management and maintenance transaction processing.
- Strong proficiency in SAP reporting tools, Microsoft Power BI, and MS Access for data analysis and dashboard development.
- Solid understanding of maintenance concepts such as preventive, predictive, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex maintenance data and generate actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills to clearly present data and reports to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to provide user support and training to maintenance teams on SAP PM functionalities.
