Job Description

HRSG Outsourcing Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Server Administrator to manage and maintain the company's server infrastructure. This Assistant Manager level role requires an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of server configuration, network administration, virtualization, and system monitoring. The ideal candidate ensures the smooth operation, security, and performance of servers across diverse environments, focusing on both Windows and Linux systems. This position demands strong capabilities in backup and recovery strategies, patch management, and disaster recovery planning to reduce downtime and data loss risks. The Server Administrator plays a key role in maintaining server stability and network connectivity by performing performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security management tasks. The candidate must be proactive in applying updates via WSUS and adept at deploying virtualization technologies. Experience with Linux server configuration and Linux system administration is essential. Although this role does not include managing a team, it requires effective collaboration with other IT professionals to implement best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
 

• Configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Administer network settings and troubleshoot connectivity issues to maintain uninterrupted business operations.
• Implement and manage virtualization platforms to improve scalability and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular system monitoring and performance tuning to identify and address potential bottlenecks.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to protect critical business data and minimize downtime.
• Manage patch deployment processes, including WSUS for Windows servers, to ensure security and stability.
• Plan and test disaster recovery procedures to guarantee resilience against hardware failures or cyber threats.
• Maintain security protocols, perform vulnerability assessments, and apply security patches promptly.
• Diagnose and resolve server-related hardware, software, and network issues effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects and upgrades.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for operational consistency.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements.
