Special Educator

Job summary

Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy is seeking a dedicated Special Educator to support children with developmental disabilities at Adam Goth. The role focuses on designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), assessing learning needs, and delivering both individual and group sessions.

You will work with Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other professionals to promote inclusive learning, track progress, and maintain comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Special Education from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Relevant certification/training in Special Education will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) according to each child’s needs.
• Assess children’s educational, developmental, and learning needs.
• Provide individualized and group-based special education sessions.
• Develop age-appropriate learning activities and teaching strategies.
• Support children in developing academic, social, communication, and daily living skills.
• Monitor and evaluate students’ progress and maintain regular progress reports.
• Maintain accurate student records, assessment reports, and educational documentation.
• Identify learning difficulties and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Coordinate with parents/caregivers regarding the child’s progress and learning needs.
• Work closely with Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, supportive, and child-friendly learning environment.
• Provide guidance to parents/caregivers regarding home-based learning and developmental activities.
