Tailor / Pattern cutter expert

About the job

We’re looking for a skilled Pattern Maker & Tailor to collaborate on the development of new designs for a contemporary womenswear brand.

The ideal candidate should have a strong technical understanding of Western wear, including garment construction, pattern development, and more complex cuts and silhouettes.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop patterns and samples for new Western wear designs.

* Translate design concepts into technically sound, well-constructed garments.

* Work with technical cuts, unique silhouettes, and detailed garment construction.

* Apply draping techniques where required.

* Collaborate on the development and refinement of samples, ensuring fit, structure, and finishing meet the desired standards.

Requirements

* Strong experience in pattern making for Western wear.

* Knowledge of technical cuts, garment construction, and complex silhouettes.

* Practical experience with draping techniques.

* Strong understanding of fit, proportions, and fabric behaviour.

* Attention to detail and the ability to interpret design references accurately.

* Previous experience in womenswear sampling is preferred.

* Strong knowledge of all kinds of tailoring techniques
