Unit Head – Software Development, SQA & App Architecture

We’re Hiring: Unit Head – Software Development, SQA & App Architecture | Digital Banking

Lead the engineering backbone of our Digital Banking ecosystem. This role owns end-to-end application development, architecture strategy, and quality assurance to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance digital products and branchless banking experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead application development, architecture design, and QA functions across digital platforms

• Drive engineering excellence through code quality, security standards, and best practices

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for faster, reliable releases

• Provide technical leadership across frontend and backend development teams

• Own release governance, performance optimization, and system reliability

• Define scalable, secure architecture aligned with long-term business strategy

• Establish rigorous QA frameworks, KPIs, and quality controls

• Ensure InfoSec compliance, risk mitigation, and regulatory adherence

• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning

• Partner with Product and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

• Manage fintech and technology vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs

• Oversee architecture & QA budgets and optimize resource allocation

• Mentor teams, drive performance culture, and build future-ready engineering capability

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)

• 10–12 years of experience in software development and application architecture

• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams at scale

• Strong command of modern development frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, .NET Core, Angular)

• Expertise in scalable architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices

• Familiarity with digital banking systems, payment gateways, QR payments, and fintech integrations

• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills
