Job Overview

Firstsource Solutions, a global leader in business process management, is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team on a Full-Time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the financial integrity of a dynamic, multinational organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, and maintaining strong relationships with our valued suppliers. You will play a crucial role in supporting our end-to-end operations across diverse sectors, including healthcare, banking, and telecommunications.


Responsibilities


As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your primary duties will include:


 

  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices with exceptional accuracy and efficiency.
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Preparing and executing payment runs via BACS and other electronic payment methods.
  • Performing regular reconciliations of supplier statements to the accounts payable ledger.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for all supplier payment queries, liaising with internal departments and external partners to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Maintaining the accounts payable ledger with precision, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
  • Assisting with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting as required.
  • Processing and verifying employee expense claims in line with company policy.

 


Qualifications


To be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:


 

  • Proven experience working in an Accounts Payable or a similar finance-focused role.
  • Strong numerical skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with MS Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with accounting software is highly desirable.
  • An AAT qualification or progress towards a professional accounting certification would be an advantage.
