Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Brokerage Finance Specialist with 2 years of experience in the brokerage industry to manage and oversee the financial operations of our firm with a focus on U.S. market regulations and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, a good understanding of trading operations, and the ability to handle regulatory compliance within capital markets. Financial Operations Oversight:
Manage and assist in financial operations related to brokerage activities, ensuring the smooth execution of transactions.
Support Accounts Receivable & Payables, ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions.
Help prepare and review financial reports, statements, and summaries, ensuring they align with the firm's goals and regulations.
Trading Transaction & Account Monitoring:
Monitor and track trading transactions to ensure compliance with financial policies.
Assist in reviewing and reconciling client accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and transactions.
Coordinate with traders and clearing houses to verify trade execution and settlement.
Regulatory Compliance:
Assist in ensuring compliance with U.S. capital market regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA) and help maintain adherence to local and international standards.
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes to ensure the firm remains compliant.
Risk Management & Margin Handling:
Help in risk assessment by tracking client positions, transactions, and margin requirements.
Assist in margin management, ensuring clients and the firm comply with leverage and risk exposure guidelines.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison:
Act as a point of contact for clients to address financial queries and provide financial support.
Work closely with internal teams, traders, and clients to ensure smooth financial operations.
Reporting & Financial Analysis:
Assist in preparing financial reports for internal stakeholders, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Conduct basic financial analysis, offering insights and recommendations for improvements in financial operations.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
Certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are a plus but not mandatory.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in financial operations, analysis, or brokerage services.
Understanding of trading operations, account monitoring, and basic capital markets concepts.
Some familiarity with U.S. market regulations and compliance standards (e.g., SEC, FINRA) is desirable but not mandatory.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in financial software (Excel, financial modeling tools) and the ability to generate financial reports.
Familiarity with trading platforms and clearing houses is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, traders, and internal teams.
Strong analytical mindset with a keen ability to spot trends and potential issues in financial data.
Desirable Attributes:
Ability to work independently in a remote setup while handling financial operations for the brokerage.
Basic understanding of global financial markets and the operations of brokerage firms.
