Introduction
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities
you will be responsible to:
- coordinate field activities and ensure timely completion of participant recruitment, follow-up visits, and sample collection
- ensure proper maintenance, filing, and confidentiality of all study-related data and documents
- provide study-related counselling and guidance to participants and their families
- coordinate closely with project supervisors and investigators regarding field operations and study progress
- train and mentor field staff on study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), biosafety requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- supervise field teams to ensure compliance with study protocols and quality standards
- ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation and sample tracking from collection to laboratory receipt
- monitor inventory and ensure availability of field supplies, consumables, and sample collection materials
- assist in resolving field-related challenges and participant concerns in a professional manner
- maintain effective communication with community stakeholders, healthcare facilities, and project collaborators
- participate in project meetings and contribute to operational planning and implementation.
Requirement
You should have:
- at least Bachelor’ s degree Graduation in Social Science or any other relevant degree
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in field-based health research, clinical research, epidemiological studies, or community-based projects
- ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu
- Basic Knowledge of survey and other research designs
- Resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
- Willing to work in the communities/field sites.
