This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shopify Web Developer at SNH PACKING Production Unit, located in Karachi, Pakistan.

As a Shopify Web Developer, you will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, maintaining, and enhancing our multiple Shopify stores, and ensuring a smooth and optimized online shopping experience for our customers. This role involves working on website layout, theme customization, payment gateway integration, performance optimization, and SEO all while aligning with the company's branding and business goals.
You will collaborate closely with the content, marketing, and product teams to ensure the e-commerce stores are visually appealing, functionally efficient, and conversion-driven. A strong understanding of Shopify’s ecosystem and an ability to troubleshoot and implement custom features are essential for success in this role

Key Responsibility:

• Product Management & Merchandising
• Upload and manage retail & wholesale products with optimized titles, tags, collections, and variant options.
• Use metafields and product templates for dynamic content and advanced customization.
• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a clean, responsive, mobile-first experience.
• Develop custom sections or features without relying solely on apps, keeping the site lightweight and fast.
• Speed & Performance Optimization
• Improve site speed by compressing images, eliminating unused CSS/JS, lazy-loading media, and managing third-party scripts.
Perform audits using Lighthouse, Page Speed Insights, and Shopify Analyzer, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• SEO & Content Optimization
• Implement on-page SEO: optimize images (alt tags), internal linking, schema markup, and JSON-LD for rich snippets.
• Maintain clean, indexable architecture for Googlebot and reduce crawl errors.
• Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
• A/B test layouts, CTAs, banners, and product page structures using tools like Google Optimize, Convert, or VWO.
• Apply proven UX strategies to improve cart abandonment rate, upsell/cross-sell, and increase average order value (AOV).
• App & Integration Management
• Evaluate and integrate high-impact apps (reviews, loyalty, subscriptions, shipping, and analytics) while minimizing bloat.
• Handle third-party APIs, custom scripts, and marketing integrations (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.).
• Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
• Set up and manage Google Tag Manager, GA4, Facebook Pixel, and conversion tracking for all ad platforms.
• Generate reports on sales funnels, product performance, and user behavior to guide strategy.
• Payment, Checkout & Compliance
• Integrate and maintain secure payment gateways (e.g., Tap, PayTabs, Stripe).
• Ensure checkout is streamlined and compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and local tax laws (UAE, KSA).
• Ongoing Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Regularly audit the store for issues: broken links, 404s, layout bugs, failed checkouts, or app conflicts.
• Handle version control using Git or theme backup apps.
• Platform Expertise & Growth Strategy
• Stay current with Shopify updates (Online Store 2.0, Hydrogen, Shopify Functions).
• Recommend strategic improvements — like subscription models, custom bundles, or wholesale portals.
• Assist in multilingual or multi-currency setup if needed (important for UAE/KSA).

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Shopify developer with a strong portfolio of live ecommerce stores.
• Deep understanding of Shopify store setup, product listing, and advanced storefront customization.
• Ability to design and implement custom layouts, sections, and features to improve UI/UX and site functionality.
• Strong written English skills with attention to detail in product descriptions, content structure, and formatting.
• Experience with payment gateway integration (e.g., Tap, Stripe, PayPal) and third-party Shopify apps.
• Capable of handling both front-end (HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript) and basic back-end Shopify functionality.
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across multiple devices and browsers.
• Bonus: Prior experience working with Middle Eastern e-commerce markets (UAE, KSA) is a strong advantage.

• Experience (2-4 Years) with e-commerce platforms is a plus
