EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking an experienced Manager Oracle Developer to lead a team of five skilled professionals. This role demands strong expertise in Oracle Database technologies and a proven track record of developing complex PL/SQL applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in creating and maintaining stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers, along with proficient skills in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. This position involves overseeing Oracle database development projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and optimizing database performance to meet business needs. The Manager Oracle Developer coordinates workflow automation and reporting, driving efficiency through effective development and management of database systems. The role requires hands-on involvement in data migration, integration, and troubleshooting within Oracle environments, while providing technical leadership to the team. Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization is essential to enhance system responsiveness and maintain data integrity. As a managerial position, it combines advanced technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to guide the team towards successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and manage a team of five Oracle developers, providing mentoring, performance feedback, and support.
  • Design, develop, and optimize efficient PL/SQL code including stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers to support business applications.
  • Develop and maintain Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports applications to facilitate efficient data entry and reporting.
  • Oversee database performance tuning and query optimization to ensure the high availability and responsiveness of systems.
  • Coordinate data migration and integration projects, ensuring accuracy and minimal downtime during transitions.
  • Implement workflow automation tools and develop processes to streamline business operations and improve data processing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly, minimizing impact on business functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable database solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, system configurations, and application workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Review and ensure the quality of code and reports developed by team members, enforcing coding standards and guidelines.
  • Keep abreast of the latest Oracle database technologies and recommend enhancements to improve system capabilities and efficiency.
