Senior Officer - Network Security & Infrastructure

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Officer specializing in Network Security and Infrastructure to enhance our IT operations. This role is essential for maintaining the security and functionality of our computing environment by providing technical support, managing network security, and administering infrastructure components. The ideal candidate readily addresses technical issues, ensures system stability, and supports users across various platforms while maintaining strong communication channels with IT managers and other departments. The role requires at least two years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, demonstrating competence in network security management and technical support functions. This position demands a proactive approach in handling multiple technical support requests, installing and configuring software and hardware, and performing remote troubleshooting. While not directly managing a team, the candidate should possess natural leadership qualities and the capability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Commitment to continuous learning, problem-solving, and timely resolution of issues are vital to supporting the organization's digital infrastructure growth and security landscape.
Responsibilities
Respond promptly and effectively to technical support calls from end users regarding computers and software applications.

Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, antivirus solutions, Microsoft Office suite, remote access tools, and other necessary applications.

Address and resolve hardware and software user tickets with attention to detail and urgency.

Perform remote troubleshooting by diagnosing issues and providing clear, step-by-step instructions to users.

Operate and support a variety of platforms including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Thin Clients, desktops, and laptops.

Consult and collaborate with IT managers and other department representatives to understand and address infrastructure needs.

Ensure all technical issues are accurately logged and tracked through resolution, prioritizing multiple open cases efficiently.

Test and implement alternative solutions or pathways when troubleshooting to resolve persistent or complex IT problems.

Maintain working knowledge of office automation equipment such as printers and scanners to provide comprehensive end-user support.

Exhibit strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, facilitating effective customer service and technical documentation.

Demonstrate initiative in taking ownership of assigned projects and tasks with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
