Accounts Officer - Payables

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing day-to-day payable transactions, statutory compliance, bank operations, and financial record-keeping for Mehran Sugar Mills Limited.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation and posting of bank payment vouchers and cheques
• Bank reconciliation statements for all company accounts
• Current account reconciliation with vendors and contractors
• Management of EOBI & SESSI contributions — calculation, reconciliation, and timely deposit
• IBFT handling and related entries
• Preparation and processing of tax challans (WHT, Sales Tax, and other)
• Voucher filing and maintenance of physical and digital records
• GRN posting and matching with vendor invoices
• Payroll entry processing in ERP
• Vendor ledger maintenance and ageing reports
• Monitoring payment due dates and preparation of payment schedules
• Deduction and deposit of Withholding Tax on vendor payments per FBR requirements
• Liaison with banks for RTGS, IBFT, and other payment-related matters
• Sugarcane grower payment records and seasonal disbursement coordination
• Support in month-end and year-end closing activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• BBA / MBA (Finance) or ICMA Part Qualified
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or finance
• Proficiency in Excel
• Sound knowledge of Pakistani tax laws, EOBI, and SESSI

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
