Assistant Accountant – Real Estate / Builders

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant with at least two years of relevant experience to support and manage daily accounting operations. Candidates with a background in Real Estate, Builders, or Construction sectors will have an added advantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth accounting processes within the organization, contributing to overall financial efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Maintain the general ledger, cash book, petty cash, journal entries, and vouchers.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, customers, vendors, and contractors.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, receipts, and monitoring outstanding balances.
- Verify and process vendor and contractor payments with proper supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial matters and support organizational needs.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in project-wise accounting and cost tracking is advantageous.
- Full-time position with working hours from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- The role is based in Karachi, with the office located at Sayyeda Chamber, 4th Floor, Near Chughtai Lab, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13C.
- Monthly salary range is Rs40,000 to Rs45,000.
- The position requires occasional travel as part of job responsibilities.
