EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager-Financial Reporting to join our dynamic finance team. This role is essential in assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial reports in accordance with IFRS standards. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in financial analysis and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial statements. While this position does not involve team management, the Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with colleagues and cross-functional teams to drive financial insights that support strategic business decisions. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting software, along with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory reporting, is essential for excelling in this position. Candidates with additional skills in Power BI will be favorably considered, as data visualization plays a crucial role in our reporting processes.
Responsibilities
 

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with IFRS standards to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls related to financial reporting to ensure integrity and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to gather relevant information necessary for financial reporting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and reporting software to manage and manipulate financial data effectively.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements by gathering and analyzing required data and documentation.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of reporting processes through innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to promote a thorough understanding of financial data and its implications for business performance.
  • Stay updated on changes to IFRS standards and regulatory requirements to ensure continued compliance.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed to support managements decision-making processes.
