Job Description

Organisation seeks a dedicated Assistant MEAL Officer to support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning functions within the organization. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate holds a master's or bachelor's degree in social sciences with relevant experience, demonstrating strong skills in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and the Logical Framework Approach. Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, SPSS, and familiarity with online databases is essential. Fluency in Urdu, English, and local languages such as Siraiki and Pashto is required to effectively communicate and engage with diverse stakeholders. The Assistant MEAL Officer upholds Organisation's values, mission, and safeguarding policies with a firm commitment to preventing sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, and any form of misconduct. Though this role does not involve managing a team, the post holder contributes to the organization's quality assurance and compliance processes, ensuring activities adhere to codes of conduct and safeguarding protocols. This position requires a proactive individual who is motivated to work responsibly within ethical guidelines and promote the welfare of all beneficiaries and communities served.


Responsibilities
 

  • Support the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, utilizing the Logical Framework Approach to track progress and outcomes against project objectives.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from field activities and program interventions using appropriate statistical tools such as SPSS.
  • Assist in preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring clarity and transparency.
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop data collection tools, surveys, and assessments tailored to specific project needs and contexts.
  • Maintain accurate and organized databases with up-to-date information to facilitate easy access and retrieval of data for reporting and decision-making purposes.
  • Support accountability mechanisms by gathering feedback from beneficiaries and partners to inform improvements and promote beneficiary participation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational safeguarding policies, including preventing sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, and upholding confidentiality standards in all monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Participate in relevant trainings on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning, along with safeguarding and protection protocols to maintain professional development.
  • Coordinate with field staff and community members to facilitate data verification, validation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Assist in logistical arrangements for monitoring visits and program evaluations, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to planned timelines.
  • Contribute to enhancing organizational learning by supporting knowledge sharing events and integrating lessons learned into project design and implementation.
