ASSOCIATE BUSINESS ANALYST

We are seeking an Associate Business Analyst to join GE Solucions’ Agile team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions by gathering and documenting requirements, creating user stories, supporting backlog management, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position is ideal for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software or SaaS environment who are eager to contribute to the delivery of impactful digital products.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to elicit, analyze, and document clear business and system requirements.
- Write well-structured User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Use Cases following Agile and Scrum best practices.
- Own and maintain the Product Backlog in partnership with the Product Owner, ensuring all stories meet the Definition of Ready.
- Conduct Gap Analysis, Impact Analysis, and prioritize requirements for upcoming features.
- Prepare and manage essential Agile BA artifacts, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Develop User Journey Maps, Wireframes, and Process Flow Diagrams to support product design and development.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of business objectives and development deliverables.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Grooming, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Utilize tools like Draw.io, Lucidchart, Figma, and Miro to create visual documentation of processes and systems.
- Partner with QA teams to define testable scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure comprehensive coverage of business rules.
- Continuously gather feedback, update requirements, and improve processes to maximize product usability and business value.

Required Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst within a software development or SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies and their practical application in product teams.
- Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Notion, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in writing concise, testable, and value-driven user stories with clear business context.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret business needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements.
- Experience with process modeling and visualizations using UML, BPMN, DFDs, or comparable notations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with UI/UX designers to define and iterate on product workflows, wireframes, and MVP designs.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail, ownership mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
