About the Role

The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform is seeking a suitably qualified individual or communications services provider to strengthen the visibility, influence, and impact of the Platform and its country programs across the Pacific. Working closely with the Senior Communications Officer and broader program team, the consultant/provider will deliver strategic communications advice and hands-on communications support, including content development, stakeholder engagement, public diplomacy communications, graphic design, and visual storytelling.


The role will support the development and implementation of communications strategies, production of high-quality communications and knowledge products, and the creation of engaging visual and multimedia content that showcases development outcomes and impact. The consultant/provider will contribute to strengthening the Platform's communications function through strategic guidance, responsive communications support, and the delivery of consistent, high-quality communications products across the Platform and its country programs.

About You

This role requires an experienced communications professional with expertise in strategic communications, public relations, graphic and visual design, and communications advisory services. You will have demonstrated experience delivering communications support for government, international development organisations, or donor-funded programs, including developing communications strategies, creating high-quality content and visual products, and engaging diverse stakeholders. Strong project management skills, excellent written and visual communication abilities, and experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams are essential. Experience with DFAT-funded programs, Pacific development contexts, and public diplomacy communications will be highly regard.
