Database Administrator (SQL Server / PostgreSQL Dba)

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL, along with exposure to Oracle databases being highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, security, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, and high availability support across enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases
• Perform database tuning, optimization, and performance troubleshooting
• Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and replication processes
• Ensure database security, integrity, and availability
• Support migrations, upgrades, and patch management
• Monitor database health and implement automation where possible
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for database solutions
• Maintain documentation and adhere to best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of DBA experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• PostgreSQL

Experience with:

• Database performance tuning
• Backup & recovery strategies
• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
• SQL scripting and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments
• Experience with cloud platforms is an advantage

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Database Administration
• Oracle migration or support experience
• Certifications in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle are a plus
