Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimation & Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear, Transformer and Busbar Trunking Systems (BTS). The candidate will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial quotations by reviewing tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and client specifications for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, single line diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and BOQs.
• Prepare accurate costing, estimation, and techno-commercial proposals for:
• LV Panels (MDB, SMDB, DB, MCC, PCC)
• MV Switchgear
• Transformer
• Busbar Trunking Systems
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for pricing of electrical components and materials.
• Prepare compliance sheets and technical submittals as per client and consultant requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards and project specifications.
• Perform value engineering and suggest cost-effective technical solutions.
• Follow up with suppliers and internal departments for timely submission of quotations.
• Maintain updated costing records for materials, fabrication, and accessories.
• Support the sales and project teams during project clarification and handover stages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (PEC Registered preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in estimation of LV/MV switchgear and busbar systems.
• Good knowledge of electrical components such as:
• ACBs, MCCBs, MCBs
• Protection relays
• Transformer
• Busbars and switchgear assemblies
• Familiarity with major brands such as ABB, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Eaton, LS, Chint, etc.
• Good understanding of power distribution systems and panel manufacturing.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• MS Excel
• ERP software (preferred)
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tenders under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a switchgear manufacturing company in Pakistan or GCC projects.
• Knowledge of local market pricing and vendor network.
• Experience with consultant approvals and tender documentation.
